    Shift on Open function (2003)

    Hello,

I am setting a startup function to start on a form, however, I know that when the shift key is press while loading the database, the user will have access to the whole database. Is there a way to prevent this? I know I can use the user security features to disable some of those features, but is there another way to do this (VBA, Macro, Etc.). Any help would be great.

    Hi there

    Try this:

    Appears quite a standard solution

Also see Re: AllowBypassKey (2002 (XP)) - MarkD posted a database demonstrating how to use the AllowBypassKey property of the database to enable/disable the Shift key to bypass the startup options.
