Document map V Thumbnails (Word 2007)

I turned on the document map feature a couple of weeks ago and used it in the Document Map view as opposed to the Thumbnail view. I don't know what I have done but now whenever I open a document I always get the thumbnail view. Is there anyway to change the default view to document map rather than thumbnails?

Does How can I make Word open new documents in a certain view (Normal or Page Layout) or at a specified zoom ratio? help?
(In Word 2007, the default template is named Normal.dotm rather than Normal.dot)

Re: Document map V Thumbnails (Word 2007)

Have tried making the change in normal.dotm as suggested by the procedure, but I still get the same result - the default view comes up as thumbnails. With a couple of existing documents I tried opening them, changing the view, making some other small change and saving. They still reopen with the thumbnail view.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

    Regards
    Alex
