Printing nested emails and attachments (WinXP/Outlook2k3)
I want to print an email with all of its nested attachments. (sample pic is attached) The attachments may be another email with its own attachments as well as other various types of files.
Typically I would save all attachments to a scratch directory to make it easier to manage, but that doesn't work when multiple email attachments have the same file name. To get around that, I would have to save each email individually and rename the duplicates manually.
I don't want to do that. <img src=/S/anigrin.gif border=0 alt=anigrin width=19 height=19> I just want to send the whole mess to the printer.
Typically these types of requests arrive in HTML format. I was messing around with this one, that's why it is in plain text.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Printing nested emails and attachments (WinXP/Outlook2k3)
<P ID="edit" class=small>(Edited by JohnBF on 23-Oct-07 11:38. )</P>You can print the attachments to the message being printed, but on a brief test the nested attachments will not print. Printing first level nested attachemnts is done by checking "Print | Print attached files".
You could try this: open each attached message and copy it to a temporary Outlook folder using File | Copy to Folder, then select them all and print them with "Print | Print attached files" checked.-John ... I float in liquid gardens
