    Sub-set of database (WXpHe Off2003)

Some comment please on what I would like to achieve with Outlook and Access. We have 1500 contacts on Outlook that synchronise, both ways, with our access database. It is possible to create another database as sub-set of the contacts [based upon Categories] that would also be in sync' with the main database?

How have you set up your table? When using File | Get External Data | Link Tables... with the Outlook option, you can only link an entire Outlook folder, and categories for contacts aren't transferred.

OK, I think that I could use Linked Tables to achieve what I want.
Having export all fields from outlook, it appears that the Categories data is not exported - can any one tell me why not please?

Because Microsoft didn't include them in the transfer routine. There are more fields (properties) that aren't exported to Access.
