Can't view pictures in e-mails (OE in XP Home SP2)

Subject edited by HansV to be more descriptive than "OE 6.00.2900.2180"

Not sure exactly when it happened but all of a sudden, I can't view any graphics in incoming emails. I do see some pictures (jpg). I've checked all settings to make sure I'm able to read html, etc. I've disabled email checking with free AVG V7.5.503 and still nothing. I've reinstalled IE6 since I assume that's where the setup is for OE. Help please

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

Have you made sure that the check box "Block images and ..." in the Security tab of the Options dialog is clear?

Did you install any new software around the time the problem started?
    Or updates from Microsoft?
Or a new driver for your video card?

The only thing that might have been installed were the automatic security updates from Microsoft. I'm set up to have them install automatically whenever Microsoft distributes them.

What are the file types being blocked?

Files aren't being blocked, just graphics in emails. For example, I subscribe to the cartoon Dilbert and the email shows up each day but all the graphics are empty windows with the little red x in the upper left hand corner.

If you look at the source of the e-mail it should show you what files are not being loaded.

I right-clicked on an email, clicked on Properties and then the Detail Tab. Here's what it said:

That is the message header. You want the message source.
