query trying to find 9 consecutive months of membe (2003)

I have a problem I am trying to figure out . I have membership data of people and data elements are effective date , term dat, member id. The data is setup if the member is effective at the first of the month and termed at the end of the month. so member 1 is effective on oct 1 2006 and termed on oct 31.2006 and so on. In a years time I need to see if the member has been active for 9 consecutive months. What would be the best way to figure this out? They could skip a month say novemer and pickup in December and still achieve their 9 months consecutive membership.

What exactly do you mean by "consecutive" if a member can skip a month? Normally, consecutive means without gaps.

Say I am eligible in October and not eligible in November then I am eligible in months December through Aug then that would equal 9 consecutive months. I know that there could be many combinations to meet the criteria.

Could you post a zipped database with a small sample table (data may be fictional)?

    Hans,

Never mind there has been clarification on this subject.

So you don't need help anymore? That's good, for your sample table doesn't have enough records to test anything on.

Yes, no more help. After talking to the project manager a little more, he wanted it done a different way.
