    Internet Explorer (6)

Internet Explorer used to load when I turned on the computer. Now it is only on my desktop and I have to click on it. How do I get it to load automatically again? I had Internet Explorer 7, had problems with it and went back to 6. Please make any instructions basic.

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

    1) Make sure that the Windows desktop is visible.
    2) Right-click the Start button in the lower left corner of your screen.
    3) Select Explore from the popup menu.
    4) If necessary, arrange the Windows Explorer window such that you can see the Internet Explorer shortcut on the desktop.
    5) Expand Programs under Start Menu in the left hand pane.
    6) Click on Startup under Programs. This will open the Startup folder in the right hand pane.
    7) Drag the shortcut to Internet Explorer from the desktop to the right hand pane of Windows Explorer and drop it there.

Next time you start Windows, Internet Explorer will be loaded automatically.

Hurray! It worked. I looked everywhere for an answer to my question. It seemed like a simple question to me and should have been easy to find an answer to. Thanks for the easy directions. tiredofit
