    Office 2003 and Access 2000 (2003)

I have Office Standard 2003 installed (this does not include Access). Can I reinstall Access 2000 from Office Professional 2000 or will it cause conflicts?

Installing components of an earlier version after a later version is not recommended.
If you want to do this at all, the order would be:
    - Uninstall Office 2003 Standard.
    - Install Access 2000 from Office 2000 Pro.
    - Reinstall Office 2003 Standard, making sure that you install it in a different folder than Access 2000 (but that is default, so you don't have to do anything special for that).

I am sorry. Not having received notification by email of a reply I went to the lounge and did a search under my name but could not find my original post. I assumed it could not have been posted for some reason, hence my second attempt. I understand the need for correct sequencing of installation but are there any other possible conflicts once Access 2000 and Office 2003 are installed on the same PC?

Many developers have installed multiple versions of Office on their PC; it is very well possible.
You'll probably find that if you open a database from Windows Explorer (by double clicking it), it will open in the most recently opened version of Access. So if you want to open the database in a specific version, you should start that version first.

(We still have problems with notifications and digests, they're not always sent. So for the moment, it's best to check in the Lounge itself. You can add a thread to your watched threads list by clicking the <IMG SRC=http://www.wopr.com/w3timages/addfavorite.gif> button at the top of the thread. You'll see if there are new replies in your Lounge Control Panel.)
