    VBA deleted (2003)

    Hello,

I have a few forms that I am going to be deleting. Does the VBA get deleted with the form or do I have to go to the Editor and deleted? I also was wondering if the VBA gets deleted automatically when you delete a command button or does it stay and how can one check to make sure all the VBA codes are still in use. I have created many command buttons using the wizard and delete many but I an not sure if the VBA gets automatically deleted. Thanks.

Code behind a form or report is automatically deleted when you delete the form or report.

Code for a control such as a command button does *not* get deleted when you delete the control. You have to check manually (a clue is if the Object dropdown in the upper left corner of the module window says General while you're in code for a control).

(There are utilities that can search for "orphan" code)

Thanks Hans. The utilities that can search for "orphan" code are they free?

The ones I know of aren't free - Total Access Analyzer is an example.
