    Freezing Columns (2003 SP2)

    Good Evening

Is it possible to freeze Columns? I would like Column A and B to remain visible whilst scrolling right, I cannot however find anything in the help files

    Cheers

Select cell C1, then in the menus choose Window > Freeze Panes

    Thanks Tony and Kitty

I probably did not explain very well, I already have panes frozen for vertical scrolling on rows but I also wanted to have 2 columns frozen for horizontal scrolling, it seems as though I cannot have both

    Thanks

    Steve

PS: I did not get an email Kitty?

If you want columns A & B, and rows 1 & 2, select cell C3 before freezing panes.

It freezes the columns to the left and rows above the currently selected cell.

First, select Window | Unfreeze Panes.
Then click in the cell to the right of the columns you want to freeze and below the rows you want to freeze. So for example if you want to freeze 2 columns and 3 rows, click in cell C4.
Then select Window | Freeze Panes.
