Pictures in Word (Word 2000 SR1)

I'm creating a User's Manual & I place a number of jpg photos throughout the document. The photos are embedded, not linked - I've got a number of Callouts on the photos ('Adjust this screw',,, etc). I need to update some photos as the machine or parts are changed. How can I view the original filename of a photo?

    Thanks for the assistance!!

I hope you still have the original on your system.
Open them in a image editor and make your changes. Then open the word file, delete old image and insert new version.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

I don't think that word stores the original filename of a picture inserted this way.

In some cases, file names are stored in the invisible metadata of a Word document. If you open the document (or better: a copy of the document) using the "Recover Text from Any File (*.*)" format (in the File>Open dialog), you might find that information. Important: do not overwrite your original document! By the way, this format drop-down is sticky, so remember to change it back to Word documents the next time, or you might be unpleasantly surprised.
