    Music Files

Something is terribly wrong with my music files. I clicked on wma and found in Search, 52 files. When I right clicked and chose Play, an error message appeared which I don't know how to correct. The error message said, "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please create one."

I then selected: "Play with Windows Media Player." and Media Player 11 played the file. The exact same error message appeared when I opened on of the 19 files found for mp3. They also played when I chose to play it with Media Player.

Please help me discover what's wrong. Why will the files play when a player's selected but won't when I ask it to play without a player selected.

I hope I have explained the situation clearly.

Thanks in advance for all help.

Right click on a file, select Open With.., chose the program you want, and make sure you select "Always use the selected program..."

Thank you Leif, it worked like a charm. Now I only have to double click on the music file and Media Player plays it.
