    Thanks again, Alan. Boy, they're busy little beavers, aren't they, since they only recently released 3.3... <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

Re: Update ► FastStone Image Viewer v3.4

Hmmm... the batch conversion of RAW files looked interesting, but I was disappointed with my first conversion. Using 3 Nikon D-80 NEF files, about 8 MB each. Resulting jpg's were about 11 MB each -- yes, they actually grew in size. Pixel count was identical for both RAW and jpg. The jpg quality as *extremely* poor -- colours were way off, and image noise was completely unacceptable. This was not a fussy, nit-pic complaint -- the jpg's were really bad.

Perhaps I was using the tool incorrectly; I unchecked the Use Advanced Features checkbox on the conversion dialog. Could not see anything specific to RAW conversion in any of the tabs in the Advanced settings dialog.

I haven't tried this feature, but you might contact the author at support@faststone.org. They seem to be responsive.
