Formatting problems (Word 2003 SP3)

Hello there!
Seems like I'm in terrible need of your help, again. <img src=/S/bow.gif border=0 alt=bow width=15 height=15>
We have a user which uses a couple of Word documents. Since some days she is experiencing some extremly weird behavior of word. She selects one line in the document and clicks, let's say bold. The next thing that happens is, the whole document is bold. If you press undo only the selected line is bold, if you press undo twice nothing is bold. The same thing happens with every formatting we tried, to both "old" documents and new created ones. We tried it with her username on several computers - nothing. Since she has a server-based user profile we tried to recreate her profile from scratch - still nothing.

It sounds like someone has set the "Automatically update" attribute for their Normal style.

Go to Format > Styles and Formatting
Click on Normal and choose Modify...
Clear the "Automatically update" flag
