    Print View (Word 2003/SP2)

Got a question. My boss likes to view documents in "Print View". When she opens new documents in Word, the Print View pops up and all is well. However, when she opens Outlook (Word) attachments, some other view (instead of the Print View that she likes) shows up. How do I make it so that her Word attachments open with the Print View?

    Thanks in advance

Do you mean Print Layout or Print PreView?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

Which view a Word document opens in depends on several factors: not only your (or your boss's) default setting, but also the view that was active when the document was saved. So if you receive a Word document as an attachment to an e-mail and open it, you may see the view that was active when the sender saved the document. The only way to get around that (as far as I know) is to put an AutoOpen macro in your Normal.dot that sets the view to print layout.

First, you all are awesome. The solution was to uncheck the Read View box within the Tools >> Options >> General Dialog Box. Thanks for your help.
