    TOC (Word 2003 SP2)

    Does anyone know if it is possible to insert a TOC at the start of each chapter, and so that it only relates to that chapter?

    You can do the following:
    - Select the first chapter in its entirety.
    - Select Insert | Bookmark, assign a unique bookmark name (for example Chapter1) and click OK.
    - Go to the start of the chapter.
    - Insert a TOC the usual way.
    - Select the entire TOC, then press Shift+F9 to display the field code. You'll see something like
    <code>
    { TOC o "1-3" h z u }
    </code>
    - Insert <code>b Chapter1</code> before the closing brace }, using the bookmark name.
    - Press F9 to hide the field code and update the TOC.
    - Select the option to update the entire TOC, not just the page numbers.
    - Repeat these steps for each chapter.
