    Access 97 and Windows 2000 Conflicts (97-SR2)

I am running Access 97-SR2 in a Windows 2000 system.
I tried to place a Microsoft TreeView Control, Version 5.0 (SP2) in a form and received the following messgae:

    "The OLE server isn't registered.
To register the OLE server, reinstall it."

Used Tools, AciveX Controls and registered the TreeView

    Received the following message:

"You don't have the license required to use this AciveX control.
You tried to open a form containing an OLE object or an ActiveX control or you tried to create an ActiveX control.
To obtain the appropriate license, contact the company that provides the licensed OLE object or ActiveX control."

Nothing in the MS knowledge base and nothing in help.

Is this a software conflict? Or is there something else I am missing?

Re: Access 97 and Windows 2000 Conflicts (97-SR2)-MULT

I have a similar problem with Access 2000 since I installed Win 2000.

When I view a form that has an embedded section originally created in WORD the embedded section is blank. I then get the message:

    "The OLE server isn't registered.
To register the OLE server, reinstall it."

However, when I place this DB on another WIN 2000 machine the embedded section is there.

Did you ever get an answer or find a solution to your problem?

Charlotte's response at http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/showthread...ff&Number=67882 is the only response that I received and it makes sense.
