    Re: Laptop USB ports

To start with, you can give us a bit of information to work on!

    What operating system?

    What laptop?

    What memory device?

The memory device you are plugging in is a 512Mb memory stick?

Have you searched with Google yet? - there are a lot of hits when you search on the exact error message you gave.

There are a lot of things on google but none solves the problem, the memory stick is a 1gb usb memory. It works fines on other computers.

    Re: Laptop USB ports

    Guys,
I have solved the problem, sort of. Here you go. Went into Device Manager and selected the USB 2.0 enhanced, I guess it is a driver, and disbaled it. Done. Previously I have downloaded the latest chipset driver from intel.co.uk website which it did not solve the problem. Because usb2.0 is disabled everytime I plug in a USB memory key it dispalys a message saying: the device can perfrom faster if you connect to a USB.2.0 etc, any way I cannot access my usb keys now without any problems, hope this post helps someone who has the same problem.

    Many thanks,
