I find myself needing to send out a small monthly electronic newsletter. Nothing major, I think no more than a few hundred people getting the newsletter at first. It could grow to as many as 10 or 15 thousand in a year or two.
What I need is a good way to:
1) Make sure it is easy to sign up to receive the newsletter.
2) Make sure that anyone wanting off the list can do so easily.
3) Make sure the newsletter doesn't automatically get sent to spam.
As a bonus it would be great if inserting content were easy.
I've done some research and found some companies that make big promises. I'm not so interested in what they promise to do as much as what they actually will / can do.
Anyone got advice or feedback on a good way to handle this? Some do's or don't's I need to watch for? Success or horror stories?
In advance, thank you.
PS: I first posted this in the Software Finds/Wants Section. Someone suggested that I might have more luck finding an answer here.

Re: Email newsletter
I do not have any personal experience with these services. However, I think #3 is something no one can promise. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
In this 2003 thread we had a few endorsements for Topica: http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/showflat.p...t&Number=242363
Since that time, my friend switched her newsletter to emailbrain. However, I don't know how happy she is with the service.
