    Title of the SUB Report is not shown on every page (Access2000-03)

    Another brain teaser for me.
    I have Report with 3 SUBs inserted in Report Footer.
    What needs to be done is at the end of the Report data Summary in 3 categories will be shown.
    All done and looking good except...they want to see SUB Reports Title on every page of the Subreports.
    All I was able to accomplish is to have Title on every page of the Main Report and Title on first page of each SUB Report.

    Is there way to see title on every page of each subreport?

    A subreport doesn't display or print its page header and footer, only its report header and footer. So if you want to display info about/from a subreport in the main report's page header or footer, you need to do some juggling in VBA. The attached example (with two subreports) may give you an idea how to do this. It is loosely based on MSKB article ACC2000: How to Repeat Subreport Header at Top of Page.

    I couldn't get it.
    I had alered it to show you how is mine suppose to look so maybe this is different easier somehow.
    Thanks.

    Re: Title of the SUB Report is not shown on every page (Access2000-03)

    1) The labels and check boxes in the report footer of the demo report were not placed there in a whim. They serve a purpose and they are referred to in the code.
    You omitted them from the test report.

    2) You didn't "connect" the code to the report sections - there was no [Event Procedure] in the appropriate events in the Event tab of the Properties window.

    3) You had set Page Header to "Not with Report Footer" so of course you didn't get a page header there...

    See attached version.

    Good morning!
    Here is my zip, I think I copied yours but it doesn't show headers anyway.
    I had fun though. Awesome VBA!
    Thanks

    As I noted in my previous reply, you won't get any page headers for your subreports if the Page Header property of the main report is set to Not with Report Footer.

    Ah!
    Sorry!

    Well, it is still not doing anything except I can only see labels and report title on every page.

    Thanks

    I was just thinking why don't I have my SUBS opened after Main one-by-one using a MAcro OR VBA and be done with?
    Objections? Thanks

    Since you didn't include the tables and queries involved, I can't preview the report.

    Yes, you can open the three reports by themselves.

    Hans,
    I am sending another copy. I am just so curious why isn't it working for me.

    Thanks

    The Page Header property of the main report is <big>STILL</big> set to "Not with Report Footer"! I have already told you twice that this is not correct - it should be set to "All Pages".

    The page header in your report is named PageHeaderSection instead of PageHeader, so the event procedure must be renamed accordingly.

    With these changes, the headers are displayed. See attached version.

    GAWD! I did all the changes you said I need to do but I kept deleteing copies and taken copies without changes so I simply got lost in all this commotion...
    Sorry but you saw I got the idea when I altered your VBA to my needs? SO maybe I am not hopeless yet? :-))

    Thanks,

    back to testing.

    Re: Title of the SUB Report is not shown on every page (Access2000-03)

    All right, now if we could just get rid of Main Report Headers on every page and Main Report title on every page?

    OMG!
    You gonna be so proud of me!
    I called every label for the Main Report and added code
    lbl1.Visible = False
    lbl2.Visible = False
    lbl3.Visible = False
    lbl4.Visible = False
    lbl5.Visible = False
    lbl6.Visible = False
    lbl7.Visible = False

    to each of the SUBs section.

    Now I need to get rid of Main Report labels on the last page of the Main Report where SUB is start showing.
    Somehow I am getting extra blank page with Headers from Main Report only.

    YAHOOOO! Getting somewhere!!!!!!!!!!!!
