    Outlook crashes Windows (6.00.2800.1123)

We're trying to nurse our 2nd computer (running Windows 98) through one more year. Lately it's crashing regularly...usually in Outlook Express 6, while trying to send mail or to open mail.

Can I manually check for updates to OE 6 on the Microsoft site? Or would updated OE 6 not work with W 98?

Give us more information as to what is happening and then we may be able to help OE to improve.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

When Outlook Express is open, it often causes Windows to crash...sometimes (but not necessarily) when trying to send or receive mail.

Error messages have included 0x800CCC0E, 0x800CCC0F, and 0x8007000E. Checked these with Microsoft's site, which has various suggestions including un-installing and re-installing Outlook Express. Is that a good idea?
