Access multi user vs single user (Access20)

    Hi!
Access.mdb with 2 reports are placed on a secure share drive.
Every user who will run reports are given permissions.
However it is acting as single user environment and here in HR dept we do not know who to ask for change to Multi user.
Also when one report ran another one can't be run because it says that someone is still in.
I need to write some 'cut connection' procedure, right?

    Please, help if you can.
    Thanks

I am also losing connections after someone ran the report so I need to refresh linked tables.

Re: Access multi user vs single user (Access20)

All users need to have Modify permissions (Read/Write/Create/Delete) on the folder containing the database. If the database is split into a frontend and backend, all users should have Modify permissions on both the folder containing the frontend and the folder containing the backend. Please note that these are permissions at the Windows level, not permissions inside Access.
