    discrepancies between computers (XP SR2)

I've had a rough day sorting problems with fonts and postscript printing.

One aspect of the difficulty seems to be that I have three computers in the office, and I now see that one varies slightly from the other two in how they paginate the very same Word files. They are, so far as I know, operating off identical copies of the underlying templates, and all three have the same file open. One is connected to an Epson printer, and displays in a more compressed way; the other two are connected to HP printers, and seem identical. Given that we are dealing with pictures and footnotes, and given that only one of the machines at present seems to be coping with the postscript process, we need to get some sort of agreement between the different versions. Can anyone guess what might be causing the difference?

The layout of a document (such as pagination) is heavily influenced by the printer. If you want the same result on all PCs, use the same printer, or at least the same printer driver for all of them.

(Or convert all documents to PDF)

Perhaps you can share the HPs between the three computers...
