    USB Modem on a hub

I have a Netgear WG111v2 USB wireless modem.

This evening I tried it connected through my USB (v2) hub, and it wouldn't connect. As soon as I connected it into one of the "direct" USB ports on my PC, it connected.

But the hub itself works when I connect my printer, or my USB flash drive.

I know it could have a lot of reasons, but the modem SHOULD work through the hub, shouldn't it? 'Cause everything else I hook in works, and the modem works when otherwise connected, as mentioned.

    ?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

Re: USB Modem on a hub

Do you mean 'modem' ? - it looks like a wireless adapter to me!

Have you bothered to check Netgear's support pages? - always a good place to begin. For instance, you get this selection of issues to start with...

    Leif:

    Duh... you're right... adapter...

It looks like I need to (maybe) re-install if I want it to recognize the USB port.... I'll give it shot.

    Thanks,
