Internet re-directs to google search page error (Home Premium)

At any given time, when I go to various internet sites, it re-directs me to a google search error page, like i searched for something it couldn't find, but all I did was go to a webpage or click on a link on a webpage to go somewhere else within that site. There are no particular sites, its any site. My spyware and virus protection haven't picked anything up.

This happens to me if I navigate to a web page that is (temporarily or otherwise) not available; after a short while the browser switches to Google (my default search engine).

That isn't the issue. They are all valid websites. It happens when I switch from one myspace page to another. It happens when i go to yahoo and click on mail. I uninstalled google toolbar and everything that has to do with google, simply because it is google thats re-directing me to the error page.

In that case, I don't know what causes the problem. Perhaps someone else will have a suggestion.

This seems as though you are losing your internet connection momentarily. Have you checked you hardware? Have you checked with your ISP?

This is a brand new laptop. I've had it for 2 weeks. The wireless card is internal. I've checked...This is really frustrating... Thank you for your help and suggestions, if anyone else has anything else to add, feel free!!!

In IE, have you set the option to search from the address bar? (I'm not sure why that should have anything to do with it though!)
