    Column Chart formatting (2003)

In the attached chart, is there any way to move the axis labels (Feb, Apr, May) to the bottom of the chart rather than in the middle? Any help is much appreciated.

Right-click the Value (Y) axis, choose Format Axis and then on the Scale tab, set the Category (X) Axis crosses at to -50.

Rory's method is explicit, it will be put at -50 no matter what the scale is.

A more generic method to always put it at the bottom no matter what the scale is to dbl-click the X-Axis (the one with the months) to pull up the "Format Axis" dialog. In the "pattern" tab of the dialog, in the "Tick mark labels" section, select the "Low" option. This will put labels at the bottom of the chart.

Beware of this method with negative column charts. If the axis is at -50, this is where the columns will start from. The chart will look much different since there is no longer columns going up for positive and down for negative...
