    Auto Sort (Excel 2003)

    Hi everybody
I attach a spreadsheet in which I count the number of unique Account Codes on the Sheet called Input. I then Extract the list of unique codes on the Sheet called Extract.

I was wondering if it is possible to to sort the account codes in a ascending order while they are extracted? The purpose of this is to avoid manually sorting the codes every time a new code is used in the Input sheet.

    Any guidance will be appreciated.

You could create a macro that extracts the unique codes and sorts them.
Or use a database program such as Microsoft Access.

    How about this?

I added new column in Input to have a list of the unique codes.

    Thank you Hans & Steve.

    As always very good solutions.

Since all my info is in Excel plus my reports must be created in Excel I will go with Steve's solution.

    Thank you again

    Regards
