    timesheet help (2003)

Hi I need help with my timesheet. On the Time Clock sheet I donít know why (I31) shows 960 and not 40, this also affects (A19) it should be formatted like (A5). I tried the Format painter I also tried formatting I31 like I24 is [h]:mm this did not work. I just got excel 2003 maybe I need to download something?
    Thanks for any help

    Re: timesheet help (2003)

I31 is adding the results in column I, which is showing whole numbers, or the data in the H column * 24. The result in I31 is the number of hours in 40 days. The same is true for the formula in I38 and I45. The formulas in the other summaries in the I column add the data in the H column.

Cell I24 contains the sum of H18:H24, this is a time value.

Cells I25:I30 contain a number of hours (obtained by multiplying the time values in H25:H30 by 24). Cell I31 contains the sum of I25:I30, this is also a number of hours, not a time value. I31 does *not* contain the sum of H25:H30. If you clear the formatting of cell I31, you'll see 40.

Since I24 contains a time value and I30 a number of hours, you cannot add them directly. You will have to be consistent: either use the method of I24 for I30 or the other way round.
