    Compare Tables (2003)

I would like to compare two tables and be able to spot differences between them. However, I'm talking about comparing the field names and data types - not the records. Has anyone achieved a similar thing previously?
    Thanks, Andy.

    Re: Compare Tables (2003)

If you want to compare the first field in table A with the first field in table B etc. it is relatively straightforward. But if fields have been inserted or deleted so that the fields to compare are not in the same position in both tables, it becomes complicated. A visual inspection would probably be easier than trying to automate the comparison.

There is a free product Database Compare 2.0 at http://www.starinix.com which is very useful.
