Vista Ultimate vs WIndows XP (Windows XP)

I am in the process of building a new PC as I have done during the holiday season the last few years. I have a couple of questions in regards to Vista Ultimate edition and would appreciate your opinions. The new PC will be for me and I will pass along the current machine to another room / another child...
    1.
Assuming I have conquered the hardware requirements, is there a good reason to wait any longer on upgrading the op system to Vista? Everything in my home is currently WinXPPro.

Should I anticipate networking issues just because I may use Vista while four other machines are XP? We would all be using a wireless G network with a single network printer.

I may opt for a dual boot system and use both operating systems. I've never done this before but shouldn't be that difficult. Thoughts?
    Thanks,

1.) No, there is not a good reason to wait. The most important fixes that will be in SP-1 are already available via Windows/Microsoft update.
2.) Not really. See Windows Vista Networking and Windows Vista Help: Networking for information from Microsoft.
3.) It is not that difficult. But, unless you have some software that is not compatible with Vista and can't be upgraded why bother? With the proper hardware to support Vista you'll get used to it in a hurry and never look back.

I agree with Joe. I have been running Vista Home Premium on two laptops since the release of it. They are connected to a wired network sharing files, internet connection (Comcast cable) and using shared printers from the XP machines. We have connected to many different "Wireless" points in several states without any problems.
As we need to replace the desktops (XP) we will be going to Vista.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
