    Remove messenger 5.1 (4.7 & or 5.1)

At one time someone posted a command line script to be run from the "Run" command that is used to uninstall the Windows messenger app. But I can't find it anymore, any help would be appreciated. I have tried using the control panel, add remove programs, windows components and un checking the windows messenger box, but the app remains. If someone can find or tell me the command to unintstall this app I would really appreciate it. thanks Doc

In early versions of Windows XP, you needed to use a command line. Since SP1 you can simply uninstall Windows Messenger from the Add/Remove Windows Components section of the Add/Remove Software control panel.
