    Footer items (Word 2003)

After changing page orientation from landscape to portrait, in a very large document, some of the footer items on the newly oriented pages have moved off the page completely. Some are slightly off the page and I'm able to move them back to their proper location. How can I retrieve the ones I can't see?

Try opening the footer (double click in the footer area, or View - Header and Footer) then use the Format menu to go to Format tabs. You get a dialog box in which you can change where the tabs are in cms or inches, or whatever is your chosen unit. Presumably the position of the various things in the footer depends on those tab settings so you could move them that way.

Thanks, that worked. This document is really messed up. Someone that isn't familiar with Word created it.
