Export Query to CSV (Access 2000/SP2)

I am programmatically sending the results of a query to a CSV file. I am using a Saved Export specification. I will be giving the query to my customer. Is there a way to copy the Spec to her machine??

Import and export specifications are stored in two hidden system tables. Copying them from one database to another one is tricky, since the ID of your export specification may already be in use for a different specification in the user's copy of the database. Wouldn't it be easier to send an Excel file?

OK, how do I send the spec in an Excel file?

No, I meant exporting the query to an Excel file and sending that. You don't need a specification to import an Excel file.

Our project requires that it is a CSV file. It is going to another kind of database. I do not plan to use Excel at all.

Since it is just one customer, I will walk over there and recreate the Spec

    That's probably easiest. <img src=/S/blackteeth.gif border=0 alt=blackteeth width=20 height=20>
