    Checkboxes (2000)

Is there some trick to get the checkboxes in Excel 2000 to check? We can get the boxes into Excel, but do not get the hand mouse pointer to click to check the box. Is there something that we are missing or is that not a feature of 2000?

If you are using an item in the "Control Toolbox", you must first "Exit Design Mode" by pressing the button that has a pencil, a ruler and a triangle on it. Otherwise you will only be selecting the object rather than working with it.

    Thanks for the info, Steve.

Without Office 2000 installed it was difficult to understand our user's issue.

AFAIK, this is the same for all the other versions of XL starting with XL97
