    vlookup (Excel 2003)

    how do i use a simple vlookup to find out information on the attached sheet, where the arrows are indicated to add the answer to the cells

    Could you explain what you want? I have no idea what the arrows are for. Do you only want formulas in E8 and E9, or in all cells with grey shading?

    For what you are asking you do not need a lookup at all.

    In E8:
    =A8

    In E9:
    =B8

    I am not sure what you want in any of the other cells (if you are looking for formulas in the other gray cells).
