    Super Utilities? (XP SP-2)

What the heck are/is Super Utilities?

I've got nothing looking like that on my machine, and I could only find one reference online to a utility set -- that I don't have -- at least to my knowledge.

I've gotten the error below several times.

    Regards,

The majority of Google hits for "Super Utilities" point to Superlogix Super Utilities - are you sure you never installed that?
There's also an add-in for Visio: Super Utilities and Tools for Microsoft Visio.

    Hans:

I don't believe I ever installed Superlogix Super Utilities, but I'll try to double check... although I'm not sure how I would do that *without* installing, and I don't use Visio....

Thanks, and I'll report back if I do find something.

    Re: Super Utilities? (XP SP-2)

    Well....

I backed up, then I downloaded and installed Super Utilities... what a piece of sh--!!

I don't think I've EVER had as much trouble with one install.

After installation, I re-booted, and it "forced open" some 30-40 windows on startup. The only way to stop same was to re-boot. In addition, I got several memory errors.

Yea, it's an interesting group of utilities, but... THAT DOG DON'T HUNT!

I don't think I've ever had as many problems with one install. It took some 4 re-boots to completely get it uninstalled, too. Thank goodness for backups!

I don't know if THAT'S what was causing my issues, but I cannot IMAGINE having installed it myself. The install and program are fairly recognizable, so I don't think it "slipped by me"...

Maybe it was "snuck in" as part of something else, but it sure wasn't something I did knowingly.

Anyway, it's off my machine now... I'm just hoping that's the end of it. I'm glad I use a separate uninstaller instead of the Windows Add/Remove...

Anywho, thanks to those that had commented and helped.

    Chuck Billow
