Add a name to a list (excel 2003)

Hope to ask for your assistance with my problem. I am setting up a spreadsheet where I am adding and saving data. In the spreadsheet I have 6 worksheets with the first two set up as Switchboards that direct you to do something. My first problem is when I wish to add a new name to the ‘Name’ list ( set up using validation form the first switchboard ) how do find the last entry in the list and make my new name be added under this and then be saved. My second problem is similar ~ I add all necessary data on the second switch board press a button and all this data is saved on my ‘2007 project sheet’ by finding the last entry and adding this new data under this Then to generate a progressive project number and saving all.

Hi Smpuki, welcome to the lounge.

I recently posted something that could be helpful to your first problem. See <post#=679,529>post 679,529</post#> for the details.

Hi again
=========
I have taken another route to "automate" the names lists. If you add a customer or Tech into the list, the switchboard validation lists should update now. See the attached...

Here is the latest workbook attached. I gave the second problem a try too. (Ignore the first one).

The WB contains the auto name rages for the names and also adds the switchboard data to the 2007 Project Worksheet. You must just tidy up the borders.
Hope this is in the right direction based on what you wanted.

Geez. That was quick. Many thanks for the reply. Will look into it when I have a free moment ( at work doing other stuff presently )
The reply on my second problem looks to be the one I need. Thanks

How about something like this:

Sheets("NAMES").Select
Range("B65536").End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0).Select

I have had some more chance to work on the file (TX to a public holiday here is South Africa). I took the liberty of "cleaning up" the code. Test it out and see if it is what you need.
Cheers

Rudi. You've hit the nail on the head everything is almost exactly where I want it. I'll tweak some more little things and I'll be ready to get this spreadsheet up and operational for use with our workgroup for the new year.
Steve ~ will try out your suggestion as well tonight.
All the best guys ~ you guys are wizards.
