    Directory Paths - shortcuts (XP/SR2)

    Hello -

Have been trying to understand Windows’ paths, particularly to shortcuts: when I do a search, I find 2 backup shortcut paths to the same file, one in Documents & Settings [name]Recent and one in Documents & Settings[name]Application DataMicrosoftOfficeRecent. Why the 2 ?

    Thank you.

Both are shortcuts created automatically when you access a folder - the one in Cocuments and Settings<username>Recent by Windows, and the other one by MS Office.
