    timing (2003/2007)

I received a PP slideshow. I opened it using PP2003 rather than running it as a slideshow. It had an embedded WAV file. I changed the WAV file, created transitions and adjusted the timing. I saved it as a pps and a ppt. When I open the presentation through PP (2003) the timing is perfect. However, when I double click on the pps file, the timing is not perfect. I was wondering if there might be any observations or thoughts about this.
This is a gorgeous PP presentation (or slideshow). It was sent to me by my friend in Australia. It is about Christmas and the graphics are stunning. I am happy to share either or both versions. The file size is 10.8 MB. If you can tell me how to send it, I'll be happy to give it to you.
    Thank you very much.

Synchronizing Sound, Video, Animation, etc. has some information about this problem.
