Missing icon on toolbar (Word97 SR2)
I work for a law firm and because of the nature of the documents produced, have Word fairly heavily customised and as part of this have added icons onto the toolbar. In one of the documents when you open it the icon disappears. It is not an old document that was created prior to the icon being put on the toolbar and it has not happened with any other documents. If anyone can shed any light to this it would be much appreciated
thanks in advance

Re: Missing icon on toolbar (Word97 SR2)
Where are your customizations (especially the toolbar modifications) stored? If you don't know, the answer is probably your Normal.dot. For most customizations, especially any you might want to share, this is not a good place to keep them.
See if the information in <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm> Copying / Moving Customizations</A> helps.
You could check to see what the attached template is for your document. (Tools => Templates and Add-ins...). Try changing it to Normal.dot if some other template is attached. Write down what the current attachment is, though, in case you need to change it back.
