    Adding Tab Control (203)

Edited by HansV to reduce large picture in size - please don't post images larger than 640x480

I've got a database with 2000+ records. Most of the fields are small, but one is long -- sometimes up to 10 pages. Since you can't use the scroll wheel to scroll through these pages, I figured Tab Controls might be the best way to handle this. (The text box with the big red 1 is the multi-page field I want to change.) Does this sound like the best way to redesign my form? And if so, are there instructions somewhere for changing one field (on many records) to a Tab Control format?

    Thanks.

I don't see how you could display a single field in multiple tabs in a tab control.
You could put the biography in a separate table, linked to the main table. Create a separate record for each "page".
You would then use a subform to display the biography table.

Sounds like it would be easiest just to leave it as it is. Thanks, though, Hans.

I agree that's easiest. I'd probably leave it alone too.
