    Windows Media Player v10 and v11 (v 10 and 11)

I made the mistake of upgrading Media Player from v 10 to v 11. In the process of the upgrade, the set up program told me it couldn't fnish and go use "web help." Web help told me I had a problem for which Microsoft doesn't have a solution. I tried to remove what was left of v 11 but so far I've gotten no where. To make matters worse, Real Player gives me a message that Media Player isn't working and stops.

I've tried to uninstall v 11 even though it wasn't fully installed and all I get is a message that it's rolling back to version 10 and then it tells me it has done so but Windows Player still doesn't work.

Can you use System Restore to load a restore point from before you tried to unstall WMP11?

Never tried the restore function before--actually, I was a bit afraid of it. Worked like a charm. Microsoft should farm out its help function to you guys instead of sending it offshore.

    Thanks yet again.
