Hi rsdebbie, and a hearty welcome to Woody's Lounge!

The Disk Clean Utility is a good way to keep your system clean from files that are collected by the computer system over time. Many of the options in this dialog refer to temporary files that can be deleted. When you click on the item in the list, for example: "Temporary Internet Files", you will see a description at the bottom of the dialog. The description is quite clear to inform you that if you choose this option, it deletes temporary files that will not influence the computer in any way. If you look at another entry, "Office Setup Files", you will see that they inform that they can be deleted, but that it is not recommended to do so unless you have access to the orignal CD to run repairs if office fails for any reason.

This link will give you more information to accurately choose which ones you would like to select for deleting.
See : http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/wind...dows-vista.html for more details. This page tells you which are the temporary files and can be deleted.
    Regards,
    Rudi
