Synch Outlook desktop to laptop (2007 Enterprise)

At home, I use Office Enterprise 2007 on my Vista machine. I got Enterprise through my employer, which holds the volume license, I have legitimately acquired the installation disk under the Home Use Program. I also have a Vista laptop, which at this time runs Office 2003. (I own the Office 2003 license myself.) I would like to synch my Outlook contacts, e-mail, and other files with Outlook on my laptop. I studied the Help file in Outlook 2007 and read about synching Outlook between a desktop running Office 2007 and a laptop running Office 2007 by way of Business Contact Manager 2007. Well, thought I, I'll just install a copy of Office 2007 on the laptop, as the EULA permits, and I'll be in business. Then I discovered that the Enterprise edition does not include BCM.

So...I can legally install Office 2007 Enterprise on the laptop, but I don't get BCM. That means I can't synch my Outlook files...right? Is there another way to do what I want? Have I overlooked something?

Re: Synch Outlook desktop to laptop (2007 Enterprise)

I have a company laptop running Office 2003, and my personal laptop on which I run Office 2007. to keep them synch'd here is how I do it.
I tried synching using my iPAQ, but that just led to confusion and inadvertently all of my personal contacts and calendars ended up on the company server so I quickly gave that idea up. What I do now is to export my contacts, calendars, tasks, notes etc. to a .pst file that I carry on my WD Pocket drive, then simply import them to my "07 machine. Works perfectly.Although I can access the internet and company data through a VPN while I am on my own wireless network, I cannot access my other computers, or I would just send the data across my network much the same way except I wouldn't need my Pocket Drive to do it, and no I have never tried to access the other computers on my network w/o running the VPN on the company laptop.
    Thanks John
