Seek image deskew program.

I have been searching for some time for a "deskew" (sic) program. Images I scan are never aligned perfectly, and "out of rotation" ranges from .03 of a degree to about 7 degrees, I shall probably have to await the purchase of an up to date modern scanner to take up this software, stand alone programs do not seem to exist, the "wish" box would very much include "batch" deskew option, but not imperitive. My images do not have border integrity, so the software would have to recognise apparent text alignment, OCR has done this for years, but stand alone programs no, I thought I'd run this past the lounge lizards. Adobe Photoshop Elements has a tool for straightening photos. You drag the mouse across a line that should be horizontal, and PSE rotates the photo until it is horizontal. Cannot operate in batch mode.

Picasa also has a free rotate feature. It's very easy to use.

Oh Wow! that is something else! well done Kel, your'e my main man! it looks like a sleek peice of software, I am reversing into dustbins, and going up kerbs
but soon as I learn to drive this baby, I think it's here to stay. As for application, ever tried to scan a postage stamp with perfect alignment Just a few early heads up, it pays to only to log sub directories, luckily I nominated a smaller one, if I had opted for E drive, I would have logged 300,000 images Thanks again. Rod.

FYI. I posted your link to my colleagues in a philatelic forum, and even current users had not spotted the deskew option, so it's a broad based (ripple effect) thanks from those as well, Kel.
