    Word Hyperlinks (Word 2003 sp-2)

I've been working with two people and we're having a very strange problem with Word 03 and LotusNotes.
Person 1 can access a document on a shared drive.
Person 2 can Access the same document on the same drive.
When Person 1 creates a Word document with hyperlinks to the shared drive document, she can open the document with the hyperlink.
When the document is attached to an email (in Lotus Notes), the hyperlinks all change to the C: drive and cannot be opened (because the document is not on the C: drive).
If I take the same document on my computer, edit the hyperlinks to a document on my (different) shared drive, I can attach and send the document and anyone that has access to that shared drive can open it.
We cannot find any reason for this to be happening.
Has anyone ever seen this before?
    Is there a work around?

I don't know a solution, but you might check the default document folder in the File Locations tab of Tools | Options for both users - does one have the document folder on C: and the other on the shared drive?

    Hi Hans,
Sorry for the late reply. We found the problem, it was, as we suspected, a rights issue on the shared drive. As much as the security people denied it. It works now.
