    XPS viewer problem

I use my Vista PC when I pay bills on-line. My habit is to "print" a copy of the confirmation screen with the Microsoft XPS Document Writer. I tried to open one of the files this morning, and I got an error message to the effect that Windows can't find the file. But then my machine launched my Mozilla Firefox browser, although nothing appeared in the screen. Any ideas?

Does the problem occur with that particular file only, or with all such files?
What happens if you start Microsoft XPS Viewer and try to open the file from within the viewer?

And what happens if you temporarily set Internet Explorer as your default browser?

    Re: XPS viewer problem

I made IE my default browser, and that seems to have fixed the problem. Can you explain XPS viewer? I presume it needs IE to work? I thought all along that it was something independent of the browser, but I can't find it under crogram files.

It appears from the link that Doc Watson posted that the XPS viewer is an add-in for Internet Explorer.
