    Which Antispyware programs for Vista

I am helping a friend set up her new system with Vista Home Premium. She has NIS 2008 installed. She wants some antispyware programs - I usually go for Spybot, Spyware Blaster and ADAWARE. Will these work with VISTA? Which versions should we get? Thanks for your help.

Spybot Search and Destroy 1.5 (the current version) works under Windows Vista; it needs to be run with administrator permissions.

SpywareBlaster runs under Windows Vista, but you may have to exclude it from DEP - see Information on Spywareblaster and Vista - OSNN Forum. The current version is 3.5.1.

AdAware 2007 works under Windows Vista (32-bits version only).

    BTW, NIS 2008 includes anti-spyware.

Thanks Hans. Just downloaded Spybot 1.5 and it is wanting to install and activate SECURITY CENTER INTEGRATION - what exactly does that do?

It will display Spybot S&D in the Security Center control panel - see the screenshot on Spybot - Search & Destroy (you have to scroll down, or search the page for security)
