Re: strange problem with IE (IE6)

Please do not ask for replies to be sent to your own email - the whole point of the Lounge is that solutions, as well as problems, can be shared.
If you require email notifications of replies, then please set this up in your profile and when you make the post - that way you will get copies of replies sent to you. But you will in any case will need to revisit the Lounge if you wish to see any other posts within the thread.

    Hello Slaven,

I can't help you with your problem, but I'm reacting to your PS. You shouldn't ask people to send replies to your e-mail address, because that way other Lounger's can't benefit from the discussion. If you turn on "Do you want all replies to posts that you make emailed to you?" in Edit email notifications, you will receive an e-mail of each reply to the e-mail address specified in your profile. See <!rule=10>Rule 10<!/rule>.

    strange problem with IE (IE6)

(Edited by Leif on 11-Jan-08 13:14. To delete request for replies to be sent direct by email.)
I don't know what is point, but one strange thing happened. I really don't know how it is possible.

I tried to update my home page for long time, but without success(this problem existed for more than two years). I was dial-up, and last year I installed ADSL, but problem happens again. Configuration of my desktop computer is: Intel Pentium IV 2.4GHz, 512 MB RAM, 120 GB HDD; configuration of my laptop is: Intel Core Duo 1.66GHz, 1GB RAM 160 GB HDD. I can upload my page on laptop, but not on desktop! Whenever I try to upload page on desktop computer browser stops working(I have IE6 and FireFox 2.0.0.11). I now use FireFox, because I found it's much better than IE. I work on computer for more than 10 years, but something like this never happened. This is first time.

Any explanation will be much appreciated

    Thanks.

    Slaven

P.S. I post this question here, because most problems happen with IE. But I have to write sentence about FireFox, because this is partially solution(but not at all).

Have you tried using FTP to upload the change?

Are you able to connect properly with the FTP client? Do you get any sort of error message?

Re: strange problem with IE (IE6)

    I will explain you situation.

I have a web page with .googlepages.com subdomain. Google doesn't support FTP, but it offers manually upload of pages. But, I can't edit pages that I made using Google page creator's editor, nor pages that I manually upload (not with FTP client).

Hope this helps about explanation of problem.

Are you bumping against any size limits? Have you tried asking your question at Google Page Creator Discussion Group | Google Groups?
