Windows Mail Uses Obsolete Addresses (Vista Home Premium)

My Windows Mail continues to use an old address for a friend whose address changed several weeks ago. I removed the old address from my Contacts and added the new one back when the new address became effective but Windows Mail still selects the old one. If I force it to list all possible addresses for this first name it lists the correct ones and the invalid one. How can I force it to forget the old address?

    Thanks,
    Bill

If this in an autocomplete or typed history list try highlighting the old address and pressing the delete key.

    Joe,

The bad entry is in the list of addresses that auto-complete pops up there if I enter just the first name, for example, and do not move off of that field. The delete key doesn't seem to have any effect on items in the list. If I actually Tab off of that field, it automatically selects the bad entry. The bad entry is listed first in the list and I think that is because they are listed alphabetically. Auto-complete is obviously using a list that it has saved from the past. Is there some way to delete all the auto-complete entries and start over, or something like that?

    Thanks,
    Bill
